We ordered 5 one-day old baby chicks from the local farm store.
This was one week ago but they still do nothing but peep, eat, poop, and sleep. Just like a newborn.
Watching the chicks is pretty fun.
Holding the chicks is so fun too!
They're too young to stand this damp, chilly weather so we have an enclosure in our library. Adorable! In a month we'll be moving them to their new outdoor home, making them into part of the bigger flock. The egg business is going very well for the girls and they are excited to have more egg layers. That won't be until the fall when they're big enough. Until then, they're just good entertainment and take a lot of care!
