the one-armed mom

no energy for reflection in the blog (good hand is tired) but plenty of time for it. had to change ALL PLANS!  not allowed to drive- bc of liability, not nec. ability. (i drive with one hand in the backseat all the time!) jeremiah polled other lawyers and judges at court today and all advise not to drive bc could be held at fault for accident even if not at all my fault.  i am so grumpy about that. now i need to make plan C!

friends are taking turns riding j. to and from school.  jeremiah is leaving work to take me to teach yoga class in morning and then again for my appointment to get a real cast on (he says bring a book bc he has court at same time and who knows how long i'll be there.). sister in law is watching c. for all this.  using up karma, calling in favors and ious.

hard: showering, shaving right side armpit w right hand only, keeping balance in shower while keeping arm dry

impossible: cutting jeremiah's hair, doing everything i want to do

what i would have been doing yesterday: helping heather all day and leaving her pre-cooked meals 

what i did: broke arm and hand, went back home and ate those meals

what i would have done today: swimming classes w kids, taken j. to preschool and then worked on one of three final grant reports due on june 1st, used new 2 week free pass at local gym, babysat my niece

what i did: just the basics, very slowly and cleaned up a lot of messes that i made while trying to do stuff. set up aquarium and friend dropped off a fish.  j. got ride to preschool and i poked out a tiny amount of work. jeremiah drove us to library (no stroller or bike rides for me anymore) and then to picnpaint to pre-set up the room for yoga class for me tomorrow.  took a shower. wrote this for almost an hour.
